Fluoro-Jade® 시리즈는 퇴화된 neuron을 염색할 수 있는 dye로, Glutamate agonist, kainic acid 혹은 mitochondrial respiration inhibitor, 3-NPA에 의한 neuronal degeneration 패턴을 염색으로 확인할수 있습니다.

퇴화된 neuron에 특이적으로 반응하는 polyanionic fluorescein 유도체입니다.
대부분의 tissue section에 사용됩나다.
frozen, vibratomed cryostat, paraffin-embedded section에 모두 사용됩니다.
전통적인 silver staining 방법에 비해 빠르고 확실합니다.

Double labeling within the hilar region of the rat hippocampus can be seen following exposure to the excitotoxin, kainic acid. Degenerating neurons stain green with Fluoro-Jade® B, while astrocytes appear red following immunofluorescent labeling with anti-GFAP.
