특징

 

  • Atrial fibrillation (심방세동)은 심방이 제대로 수축하지 못하고 불규칙하게 떠는 상태의 가장 흔한 형태의 부정맥으로 비만, 뇌졸중, 치매 및 울혈성 심부전과 함께 동반되는 질병입니다.
  • AF 치료에는 아직 성공률이 낮은 제한적인 치료 옵션이 있으며, AF 환자의 사망률은 연간 25%입니다. 
  • Atrial 연구에 심실 심근세포 (ventricular cardiomyocyte)가 주로 이용되어져 왔으나, 심방과 심실에서의 약리학적 효과가 다르기 때문에 명확한 AF 치료제 연구를 위해서는 임상에 가까운 심방 human model이 필요합니다.
